Description
The Vertical Jump Sit and Reach Junior is a simple but effective tool for measuring leg power and tracking children’s physical development and fitness. Used in primary and secondary school PE, this test challenges children to jump from a standing position and reach as high as possible, comparing their jump height to their body height, an internationally recognised method for assessing leg strength-to-weight ratio. This version features a magnetically held sliding scale that adjusts to each participant’s height before jumping, ensuring fair and accurate results. It can be mounted vertically on any suitable wall or used horizontally on a table to assess flexibility, making it a versatile addition to your KS2 and KS3 PE equipment.
Mounting Guidance (guide only):
• Primary School: 1.60m from floor to bottom screw
• Secondary School: 1.80m from floor to bottom screw
