Belay gates provide a valuable safety feature to support the correct use of automatic belay devices and reduce the risk of injury for climbers.
How does it work?
When the belay gate top loop is attached to the automatic belay clip, it becomes a physical barrier that will block the use of the holds. This will minimise the potential for climbers to start their ascent without clipping in. When the climbing wall is in use, the belay gate will be laid out on the opposite side, warning other climbers of a climber above.
