The Sportshall UK Final 2025: A thrilling showcase of the future generation of top athletes.

The Sportshall UK Championship reached its climax on 12th April 2025 with the Sportshall UK Finals, the highly anticipated event in the calendar hosted by Sportshall Association and Eveque. This national competition follows a series of regional events in which young athletes from athletics clubs across the UK compete in indoor running, throwing and jumping events. Over 1000 enthusiastic young athletes and spectators filled Fenton Manor Leisure Centre in Stoke. The competition was fierce, demonstrating the impressive talent of the young athletes. The event was also honoured by the presence of several important guests, including the Founder of Sportshall, George Bunner MBE, Kim Pickering, Sportshall Athletics Association President and Treasurer of the Ron Pickering Memorial Fund, Chris Jones, CEO of England Athletics and John Flice, Sportshall Athletics Association Chairman.

Special congratulations go to Euan Workman for achieving the highest individual score of the day with an impressive 288 points, securing the Under 15 Boys All-Rounder title. Similarly, Daniella Syme demonstrated exceptional talent, scoring 285 points to win the Under 15 Girls All-Rounder category. There were also strong team performances, with Surrey taking home the titles in the Under 13 Girls, Under 15 Boys and Under 15 Girls categories. A well-deserved congratulations also go to Avon for their victory in the Under 13 Boys category. Beyond these specific victories, a massive congratulations goes to all the teams that participated in the UK Final. The hard work, determination and sportsmanship displayed by every young athlete contributed to a truly memorable event. As we look ahead, preparations are already underway for the 2026 Sportshall Championships and we are looking forward to seeing more young athletes through the grassroots competition.
